Terms of service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to moving services provided by Reliable Moving Services, LLC (“Reliable Moving Services,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By requesting a quote or booking a move, you agree to these Terms. We may update them from time to time; changes will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.

1. Services

We provide local moving, commercial moving, and furniture moving across Southern California — Los Angeles County, Orange County, and parts of Riverside, San Bernardino, and Ventura counties, served from five local hubs.

We handle local and intrastate California moves only. We do not provide long-distance or out-of-state moving, storage, or labor-only services, and we do not move pianos or pool tables.

2. Booking & cancellation

  • After you request a quote, we confirm the date, crew size, and hourly rate in writing before your move.
  • Every move has a 4-hour minimum. If your move runs longer, we bill in 30-minute increments after the minimum.
  • Need to reschedule or cancel? Contact us as early as possible by phone or text — we’re open Mon–Sun, 9am–9pm, including holidays.

3. Pricing & payment

Our rates for a crew of 2 movers + 1 truck are:

  • Mon–Thu — $139/hr.
  • Fri & Sun — $149/hr.
  • Saturday and month-end (the 25th–5th) — $159/hr.
  • Each additional mover — +$30/hr.
  • Truck fee — from $75.

There is no travel fee: under California law, drive time between your addresses is billed as Double Drive Time at the hourly rate. There are no stair fees and no long-carry fees. The discounted cash price already includes sales tax; paying online by card adds sales tax at checkout.

The final price is confirmed after a short walkthrough, and payment is collected after the job is complete — once you’ve inspected your items. We accept cash, Zelle, Venmo, CashApp, PayPal, and credit card.

4. Liability & insurance

Reliable Moving Services, LLC is fully licensed, bonded & insured for general liability and cargo (USDOT 3703948 · CAL-T204822). A certificate of insurance is available on request.

Furniture is wrapped and padded as part of our standard process. If you notice an issue with your items during the final walkthrough, tell the crew and contact us right away using the details below.
